Heath Herring Wants Brock Rematch
MMA Weekly reports:

Herring had high expectations heading into the octagon against Lesnar, but was caught by a right hand in the opening moments of the bout that sent him and his expectations crashing to the canvas.

"I think that shot pretty much changed the whole dynamic of the fight," said Herring. "I sure would like to know what would have happened if it hadn't landed."

"Once that right hand landed it was like I was fighting half blind, or pretty much blind at that point. It was all pretty much downhill from there," explained the 30-year-old heavyweight. " I just tried to come back and mount some type of offense. Unfortunately, I was never able to mount anything that significant...After getting rocked with a shot like that, and not being able to see, you're more in survival mode."

"It doesn't sit very well with me. I'll be honest. I mean, you go out there and right at the beginning of the fight get caught with probably the biggest shot ever and you're starting off right away in a negative position."

So, would it be different next time? Could it be different? I don't think Herring had his best night but I doubt he'd be able to overcome Brock's huge physical advantage.

I love Heath Herring and I honestly thought he'd pose more of a challenge to Lesnar. That being said, after watching a 15 minute fight, I don't think he'd fare much better in a rematch. I put Lesnar in the same category as Kimbo Slice before the match (an over-rated brawler who would get taken out by a talented MMA guy). After the match, I have A LOT more respect for Brock (as a fighter at least, he sure was a d-bag in his celebration... this ain't the WWE, Brock).

If there ever is a rematch it will be the same turn out only probably against an even better Lesnar.

as far as Brocks end of fight antics, I say so what Hes not the only guy to do somthin like that.. Tito did the grave digger thing and others do some other end fight thing but if thats the worst Brock does not a big deal

In Japan they say luck is where preparation meets opportunity. Lesnar prepared like an animal, and when he had the opportunity, he took Herring's head off. This from the guy who was supposed to be the wrestler, against the guy who was supposed to be the striker. Herring had some great fights in the past, but Lesnar is the up and comer today, and if they fight again tomorrow, I'm thinking Lesnar would finish it this time. Props to Herring for lasting three rounds against a monster, he's as tough as they come, but tough is only one aspect of this complex game.

I've seen some of his older fights, like Heath against Fedor. What a joke fight that was. Fedor just beat him to death for the fun of it. Heath at a couple points during that match had tried to climb out of the ropes. Thats how bad Heath is. He too found out what Fedor was all about, and that was before Fedor won the HW belt.

I DO NOT think the fight would be the same, at all!

I think Brock would plant that BIG right meat hook in the MIDDLE of Heath's face, so that he couldn't see out of EITHER eye!!

It would be the same in the end with Lesnar being the winner, but I think hed finish Heath this time
